Our Mission

To provide a well-resourced, inviting and inclusive environment that promotes a love of literacy and technology, and fosters the development of information literate students who persist and strive towards life-long learning.

Our Library

The library is an important part of your child's education and is a major educational hub for both students and staff. We strive to make our resource centre the best it can be as the core of curriculum delivery and classroom programming. The library supports the school teachers and students with essential resources for all areas of the learning curriculum and the Library program is linked to the classroom programs.

Library lessons provide students with opportunities to appreciate literature and develop their information skills for future endeavours through research and the Information Skills Process. Children visit the library regularly with their class where they are encouraged to borrow and return from the wide selection of books. The Library layout is structured to support students at all levels of reading capabilities and encourage them to borrow a range of book types. Lessons are given from Kindergarten to Year Six covering a kaleidoscope of areas including literature appreciation, the Library Skills Information Process, Computer skills and Enquiry-based project work.

The library also fosters a love of books and promotes and supports students in completing the Premiers Reading Challenge. During lunchtime activities students are invited to participate in quiet reading or quiet activities.

Our school library is well equipped with:
A rich collection of Picture Books, Junior Fiction and Fiction, Non-Fiction and Reference books.

A ‘state of the art' interactive smart TV.

A class set of Computer Tablets to access the Oliver Library System and World Book Online.

A broad range of teacher's resources to aid in curriculum planning and teaching
